Golden Oyster mushrooms, scientific name Pleurotus citrinopileatus, are more fragile comparing to other Oyster varietes.

It is both cultivated and found growing in the wild. Also known as Yellow Oyster, Il’mak in Russian, and Tamgitake in Japanese, Golden Oyster mushrooms grow in tighly packed clusters on hardwood trees in warm climates.

Native to Asia and not often commercially cultivated on a large scale due to their short shelf life and fragile nature. They have unusual vibrant yellow color,

The are extremely delicious with nutty flavor.
